Care Instructions: Freezer compatible and dishwasher safe, this cookware arrives ready to use after simple conditioning: wash it in warm soapy water, then rub a thin layer of vegetable or corn oil over the non-stick interior, rinsing and drying thoroughly—avoiding conditioning of the black exterior. For cooking, it’s best to use Le Creuset’s Silicone Tools, wooden, or heat-resistant plastic utensils, though metal can be used with care. Always match the hob ring size to the pan base, especially on induction hobs, where an incorrect size might not be recognized. For the most consistent results, preheat on medium or low heat, lowering settings as needed and avoid leaving the cookware unattended. High heat can lead to surface staining, especially with ingredients with low smoking points. Avoid induction’s ‘boost’ setting for cooking and lift cookware on glass stovetops to prevent scratching. In the oven, use a shelf or rack—never place directly on the floor—to avoid overheating. A 5 cm gap between the grill and cookware top helps prevent direct heat damage. For cleaning, let the cookware cool before washing and, though dishwasher safe, hand washing with gentle soap extends the non-stick surface's life.
